Then came PURPLE-black female, PINK-yellow female, and MAROON-black female!

Yes, that is me in the whelping box. This is a family affair after all!

Whew! That was a long 17 1/2 hours in the whelping box!

Finally, a cleaned up whelping room! Emma and pups are resting well.

Good sized puppies! All were nearly a pound a piece!

Time to venture around the whelping box!

As of day 3 we began the early neurological stimulation program with the puppies. They still have their eyes and ears closed but are moving around the whelping box with ease. They are barking, growling and whining when they are sleeping now. VERY cute!

2 Weeks old

Well this week the pups are beginning to open their eyes and their ears are opening. They are also starting to get off their bellies and walk! They are getting quite the assortment of music stations to listen to and we have added toys to the whelping box. They had their first worming this week too!

Time to start them on gruel! Emma needs some help keeping up with the hunger of this gang!

3 Weeks

Time for their 2nd worming and they are getting teeth! They are quite a bit more mobile and they are biting on everything! Starting to look like chunky puppies!

Yes, Goldie again and yes she is asleep in the food! Apparently she got enough and it is nap time!

Week 4

Third worming will be done today. We will also move them out of the whelping box and into the larger area of the kennel so they can stretch their legs. More time in the kitchen as well. They are so cute!!!! You'll notice that their ears have grown in the last week!
